Today Red Devilz owner and team captain #98 Shane Hanson shocked the devilz nation with his announcement of retirement.
Hanson started is announcement by thanking teammates and fans for his 5 team awards for this past season, leading us to think positive news was to follow. The he went on saying "I have lead this team on the stat sheet but have failed in the areas the count as a leader and team owner and have become a cancer to the team. I am to competitive and passionate for the game and will continue to hurt the team. So I am officially stepping down as team owner and captain and will retire from ball hockey for good. It's in the best interest of the team and will help them succeed in the future."
#3 Mike McCoy will now step up as team owner and team captain to get the Red Devilz back on track. This news has everyone shocked but it could play out to be the best thing for the team. This is the start of a new beginning for the team and as a part of the Red Devil nation it's our job to support the direction of the team and wish new owner Mike McCoy the best of luck and lead us to gold!
